Longship Scout Group

At the group executive meeting on wednesday the 22nd November - Arne Didrik Høiseth was voted in as new GSL. Ebba Boye, Marius Sagen and Erik Gjævenes were voted in as AGSL.

At this years Årsfest four leaders were presented with their Silverstjerne. This is the groups highest award which is given to those who have been actively involved with the group over a long period.

The four who received their award this year were:

• Nina Eriksen Vinje
• Chris Searle
• Maria Lundin
• Audun Harjén

Longship Group congratulates them!

The invitation to årsfest 2006 is now available in the downloads area. It will be sent via normal post today (1st Nov).

As you can see - we've just replaced the longship website with a new version.

Hopefully it will be as easy to use as the old one - it is certainly easier for us to maintain and enhance.

Some areas you may notice are not fully in place yet. For example the content on the history of the group.

This is coming - it's just not quite ready yet.

For those who may be interested in the technical details, the previous site was based on mambo. The new site is based on drupal.

If you've been on an activity, trip or camp and have pictures then we would like to add them to the Photo Gallery. We can accept digital pictures directly over mail (photos@longship.org) or normal photos (preferably the negatives) or slides (via your local leaders).

The pictures which are added were taken by Carsten. He thinks that there are many more pictures out there.

"I know I wasn't the only photographer at the camp, I think both Per and Inger Elisabeth were also active" said Carsten after the camp.

We encourage other camp photographers to send in their pictures.
