The group received a mail from John Hopkins:
I was a member of 9th Wallington. In 1966, we had a two-week exercise based in Fort William in Scotland. There were several Norwegian Scouts with us. On our one "free day", we travelled by VW van to Inverness. On the way, we listened to the radio. We could only get a Norwegian station (it was too far north for the BBC). The Norwegian Scouts translated for us. It was a live football match. England vs Germany in the World Cup final.
